I was aware that they were close - but not that close - fuck me the shit will hit the fan if they take the capital

Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
Crassus - apparently they are also close to taking Baghdad and it's airport, now that would be horrendous news.

The coalition are now concentrating on Baghdad, so the perception is that they have assumed Kobani has already fallen to ISIS.

They don't though do they. The Kurds and Iranians haven't had much to do with Isreal. As for Syria, they're attacking the 'Free' Syrian forces as much as Assad.

Blimey those Kurds are game but the end is in sight now

IS trying to encircle the city and much of it lost

Grim for the poor bastards left inside when those savages finally take it

Its all from the BBC a couple of days ago, although i think there has been a bit more insight as to why they never went in and defended the town, all the same, did seem an odd statement to make then a day or 2 later not do what they initially said they would do?, although the town still hasn't fallen its looking odds on it will.

Alright GO - I'll take that bait

Not sure that's actually true is it?

What absolutely does intrigue me is the conspicuous absense of Israel in all this, bar the odd pop at the Assad regime. A real peasouper of international interest, right on their doorstep and the silence is golden - and I know what you are alluding to aswell

Why do ISIS [ISIL] only attack those arabic nations who defy isreal?

Maybe you should be concerned because once they've killed all the Christians and arabs in the Middle East they might eventually turn their attention on israel one day...

cough.

Syd

I am not entirely sure any of that is true

1/ it has not fallen

2/ Dont think the Turks actually said that, in those words, something far more ambiguous and definitely linked to three absolute criteria that the West have not responded to

I do agree that the Turks have authorised military action

Why would I Goldie?

The link you posted is a piece by F William Engdahl.

Great website - he gave a great interview to RT.

He also believes that ISIS are a false flag operation run by the CIA.

Antleyesque - beautiful.

You could look up Rita Katz yourself.

Rita Katz is the director of SITE Intelligence, primary source for intelligence used by news services, Homeland Security, the FBI and CIA. What is her qualification? She served in the Israeli Defense Forces.

Katz, a fluent Arabic speaker, was born in Basra in 1963 to a wealthy Iraqi Jewish family. In 1968 her father was arrested on charges of spying for Israel and the rest of the family put under house arrest. The following year Katz's father was convicted and executed in a public hanging and Katz's mother managed to escape with the children to Israel.

Yup, there you have it folks. Born to a Iraqi Jewish family, her father was hanged for spying for Israel. Do I need to say more? You think this woman has a personal axe to grind with Iraq or Muslims?

Saw some pictures earlier of supposed ISIS soldiers restocking their weaponry, they had some serious looking guns but they must realise by now that their number is up.

All this stuff I keep hearing about the coalition bombing not being effective, is in my opinion bollocks, on the basis of the stuff I have seen and read that they have forced ISIS back out of Kobane, have taken out many of their soldiers and blown up tanks and / jeeps, suggests otherwise.

Hairy - well not necessarily obvious but I get the drift

Sully - not sure about ISIS being shocked by air strikes, they are insufficient given the actual numbers of aircraft in theatre

I agree with more videos but reckon they want, may even need, western boots on the ground to galvanise a perhaps weakening support

Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
The Armenian genocide was carried out by the amusingly coined 'Young Turks' who were Donmeh who were jewish converts.

Which is probably why you don't hear too much about it in the press other than when israel refused to recognise it as genocide recently.

Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
I think ISIS will slowly retreat and probably just try to maintain the ground they have already taken over. They will be angered by the constant bombing by the coalition which has prevented them taking over Kobani.

I hate to say it, but I suspect we'll be seeing another video soon, I hope to god I'm wrong!

Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
Crassus obviously yes.,

My point is this a genocide can be picked chosen and ordered to requirement, sad but true.
The French committed genocide of Algerians so the Algerians claim but search for it on the internet see if you can find the word Genocide and you cannot it was "WAR" the French claim and that is what i think went on in Turkey but in this world it is one rule for some and one rule for the other and so it goes on.

Crassus 8:48 Wed Oct 8
Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
Hairy - quick question, are you Turkish?

Also, if we are on a genocide audit, what of the Spanish in Mexico and S America? Russian on Russian? Chinese on Chinese? English on Irish?

It goes on as it is part of the human condition.....

Crassus 8:45 Wed Oct 8
Re: Turkey just watches as ISIL moves in
Capitol agreed and Rios behave - you know exactly what Hairy is suggesting. Turkey is blighted by it's geography in the current geopolitical climate. That said, shrewd bargaining might just exploit that.

Exeter
Sorry mate that is just wrong
''ISIL have had no qualms about taking over as many places as they can, as much as they can, could easily include a Turkish enclave in Syria on that list''

They have done precisely the opposite, focussing upon the areas of economic and geographic relevence and Kobani is not a Turkish enclave at all.

Just check out BBC News, they will have maps somewhere to illustrate.

Incidentally, these numbers of 20/30k are bollox, utterly misleading. This is an issue of Sunni vs Shia expoloitation, tribal loyalties, vendettas and nation states sponsoring various factions and interests as the innocent die above the great oil lake.

It is not just 20k yahoos running wildly.
